I take New Years resolutions very seriously! Every year I think about what I want to accomplish in the next year and then spend my year doing what I can to make it happen. Of course, it's not possible to always achieve all your goals done but I'm happy to say that I've gotten some of them to come to fruition.
This year (2010-2011), I wanted to try a new approach. Based on the many wonderful Christmas gifts I received I got the message that I need to a better job taking care of me. I decided that I respond well to be accountable so I figured the new way to work on that was through a blog. :) My postings will track my progress and pitfalls.
I'm hoping to use my blog as a journal to track my daily eating, weight loss, inches lost, exercise and emotional junk. I'm nervous about this because I'm very private about this specific journey and I don't think I'm a good writer. I think it will be good for me in the long run though to have a journal and collection of what I hope to do.
Goals:
- Lose 25 pounds by 7/1/11
- Drop 2 dress size (From 8 to 4)
- Spend more time on things that I enjoy (reading, exercising, self care)
- Lose 4-5 inches from my waist
I'm giving myself 6 months to get this done. Hopefully this blog will keep me anchored and focused. Okay go!
